Eskom is inviting applications for five Graduate in Training – Legal positions within its Legal Department at Megawatt Park in Sunninghill, Gauteng. This internship opportunity is aimed at recently qualified graduates who want to gain practical workplace exposure within the legal and corporate environment of a major electricity and energy organisation. The positions carry Position/Task Grade L7 and offer market-related remuneration, with the opportunity listed as an Employment Equity position. Successful candidates will receive institutionalised and on-the-job training designed to help them develop professional workplace skills and practical knowledge. The Graduate in Training programme is suited to candidates who have completed a relevant NQF Level 7 qualification and are ready to move from academic learning into a professional environment. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness in their daily activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in institutionalised training as part of the Eskom Graduate in Training programme.
  • Complete on-the-job training within the Legal Department.
  • Apply relevant academic knowledge to assigned workplace and learning activities.
  • Gain practical exposure to legal-related functions and professional workplace processes.
  • Support assigned departmental responsibilities while developing an understanding of organisational requirements.

Requirements and Skills

  • Applicants must have a completed LLB, B Proc, B Com or B Admin degree at NQF Level 7 with 360 credits.
  • Candidates must be South African citizens.
  • No previous work experience is required.
  • Applicants should have an interest in developing practical experience within a legal and corporate environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Facilitation skills are important for the role.
