Check Out How SA Celebs Dressed Up for This Year’s Halloween

Check Out How SA Celebs Dressed Up for This Year’s Halloween. Halloween is a celebration observed in many countries on the 31st of October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day.

As a secular holiday, Halloween has come to be associated with a number of activities. One is the practice of pulling usually scary but harmless pranks. Celebrants wear masks and costumes for parties and for trick-or-treating, thought to have derived from the British practice of allowing the poor to beg for food, called “soul cakes.” Trick-or-treaters go from house to house with the threat that they will pull a trick if they do not receive a treat, usually candy.

Although it is mainly celebrated in the Western countries, Halloween has made its way into our shores over recent years. A number of our celebrities have embraced the culture to celebrate the day, setting a trend for their followers to imitate. The likes of Minnie Dlamini, Ayanda Thabethe, Lasizwe, and so many others are big on Halloween. They dress up as their favorite international celebrities  and share pictures on social media.

This year was no different as our celebs went even bigger. Candice Modiselle stole the show, by channeling American superstar Beyonce. The media personality and actress looked all sorts of sexy with three outfit changes, similar to the ones Mrs Carter wore in different ocassions. Tshepi Vundla channeled Jennifer Lopez, and she nailed it. We also liked Amanda duPont, Sithelo Shozi, Pearl Thusi and Naledi Mogadime’s creative outfits.
