The voice behind Micasa. J’Something has often been mistaken for being Micasa where else Micasa is the band that he’s a part of. The white guy with the rhythm of a black man has gotten us dancing with him as he and his band released hit after hit. Here’s a list of 10 things you don’t know about him.

1. His real is Joao which is John in Portuguese.

2. Most people cannot pronounce his name Joao and that’s how he got the name J’Something.

3. He was born in Portugal and moved to Port Alfred, Eastern Cape, with his parents when he was seven.

4. J’Something has a close relationship with his mom because they’ve been through a lot together.

5. He started playing guitar as a kid and used to perform for his mom and her friends.

6. J’Something enjoys cooking and food because both his parents were in the hospitality business.

7. He is the face of Arrow Man and he uses the platform to express his fashion opinion.

8. J’Something’s biggest achievement was becoming a part of Micasa.

9. He and his band Micasa are signed to Soul Candi records, he runs Soul Candi Studios and produces Soul Candi Radio.
