Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of adidas service is provided to every customer.
• Greet customers in the store and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Act as a Greeter at the front door during busy workdays when required.
• Complete regular sales transactions involving cash, credit cards, cheques and other accepted payment methods when necessary.
• Use selling techniques such as add-on sales to support store and position sales goals.
• Explain technical product information to customers to enhance their shopping experience and support sales.
• Assist with the ticketing of products and check paperwork against items received.
• Support product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor when required.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of merchandise displays.
• Follow display suggestions, schedules and instructions provided by the store management team.
• Develop proficiency in the point-of-sale system and use it accurately.
• Maintain transaction integrity by following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning and keeping the store presentable.
• Safeguard adidas company assets and follow procedures relating to their protection.
• Support loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor and reporting suspicious activity.
• Follow security procedures and SLAP requirements at all times.
• Participate in in-store training and digital training programmes such as Atticus and AREA.
• Maintain strong product knowledge and develop an understanding of role best practices.
• Familiarise yourself with Power BI tools to gain a better understanding of store performance, best-selling products and black hole products.
• Adapt to changing store requirements and assist management and colleagues with other duties when required.

Requirements and Skills

• A Matric certificate is required.
• Applicants should have between 0 and 1 year of retail experience.
• Previous fashion retail experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
• A genuine passion for retail and customer service is essential.
