Vacancy: Production Supervisor

Client is a leading name in the precast concrete industry. They require a Pipe production supervisor based in Pinetown area
Job Description:

• Attend the daily production meeting with the production foreman and supervisors to give feedback on previous day performance
• Verify and organize the pipe production teams for the shift, record attendance and make arrangements for replacement for any absentees
• Draw up a schedule for the day for the mould assembly and casting operations and communicate it to the teams
• Determine raw material and consumable requirements to meet the schedule
• Establish raw material and consumable floor stock level and determine shortfall to meet schedule
• Complete a requisition for raw material and consumable requirements to meet the schedule
• Do regular mould inspection to identify moulds that require attention or repair, make arrangements for moulds to be taken out of production for repair, and follow-up on mould return
• Communicate with the night shift production supervisor to ensure that shift handover is seamless and inform him of the status of operations so that activities can commence without interruption
• Direct and coordinate activities of the night shift yard operators to ensure that the completed pipes are consistently moved into the yard for storage

 
Requirements

• Matric
• Min 5 years’ supervisory experience in Manufacturing industry
• Experience in similar role
• Knowledge of SABS ISO 9002 training
• Good at problem solving
• Methodical, organized & Accurate
