“What An Experience!” Maps Maponyane Gushes Over Being On the Masked Singer. Each and every celebrity who took part on the show is happy they did. The likes of Zikhona Sodlaka, Abdul Khoza, David Kau, Mmusi Maimane, Makhadzi, Zozibini Tunzi and many other participants all had nice things to say about The Masked Singer SA.

The Masked Singer SA is a celebrity singing competition features well known personalities, who perform under the cover of flamboyant costumes and facial masks to conceal their identities. Viewers have been voting for the ones the would love to keep on the show each week. Award winning musician and TV personality Holly Rey, was announced as Season I winner, with Kurt Darren as her runner up.

Maps Maponyane and Abdul Khoza, also made it to the final round. Speaking about his experience, Maps, who disguised as tree, is more than grateful. He mentioned how difficult it was for him to not let anyone know that he was the one behind that mask. All in all though, he had a great time.

“What an experience! Definitely one I’ll never forget. I’m glad I don’t have to hang onto this secret anymore It was so hard lying to/ignoring people (including family and friends) who would constantly ask if I was the Tree and pretending I had no idea what they were talking about Thank you to everyone who watched, and for all the love you showed Tree. Getting to do all of that in front of an audience, while having fun and surprising myself in the process definitely felt like I was living out one of my childhood dreams,” Maps said.

The media personality, actor and entrepreneur also thanked the producer Anele Mdoda for the opportunity she gave him. “You’re in your own league,” he added.
