Tweeps Not Happy With Somizi Bagging Yet Another TV Gig. Guess who has just bagged yet another TV gig! It is the one and only Somizi Mhlongo, who is among the detectives of The Masked Singer celebrity singing competition.
The Masked Singer is a celebrity singing competition, where well known personalities perform under the cover of flamboyant costumes and facial masks to conceal their identities. The South African version will be co-produced by Primedia and Anele Mdoda through her production company Rose and Oaks. Mpho Popps will host the show.
As a detective, or judge, Somizi will be working alongside comedian and media personality Skhumba, award winning musician, TV personality, author and entrepreneur J Something as well as DJ, Instagram influencer and entrepreneur Sithelo Shozi.

He is without a doubt one of the personalities owning 2023 already. A few weeks back it was revealed that Somizi will be joining Metro FM’s 9am-12pm The Bridge alongside Quinton “Naked DJ” Masina and new host Khutso Theledi. The celebrated media personality and all round entertainer also gets to host the The Weekend Breakfast Sounds Good with Mat Elle between 6 and 9am.
After hearing Somizi just bagged another gig, not so many social media users were impressed. A lot of them feel that he gets al the gigs, whereas so many capable young people are roaming the streets without work. Other cited that Somizi is a convicted sexual offender, henceforth he should not be getting this gigs.
