Social Media Reacts to Ntuthuko Shoba Getting Life Imprisonment #TshegofatsoPule

Social Media Reacts to Ntuthuko Shoba Getting Life Imprisonment. Finally justice has been served! Ntuthuko Shoba has just been sentenced to life imprisonment for the premeditated murder of Tshegofatso Pule.

Back in March 2022, Shoba was found guilty of masterminding the killing of Pule in 2020. 28 year-old Pule’s life was cut short at eight months pregnant, carrying Shoba’s baby. Her body was found by a passerby shot and hanging from a tree in Durban Deep in 2020.

After investigations, a man by the name Muzikayise Malephane was arrested, and it later turned out that he was working for Shoba, who got arrested in February 2021. Malephane alleged that he had been hired to kill Pule because Shoba feared his “wife” would find out about Pule’s pregnancy.

Malephane told the court that he drove Pule to Noordgesig, Soweto and then shot her in her chest. He then drove with her to a secluded area in Durban Deep near Roodepoort and hanged her. Malephane who pleaded guilty of Tshegofatso’s murder is currently serving a 20 year sentence. As for Shoba, he maintained his innocence. Nonetheless, he got charged with murder, an alternative charge of conspiracy to commit murder and defeating the ends of justice.

Acting Judge Stuart Wilson stated that the offense is one of the worst kind. As such that there were no compelling reasons for the court not to impose the prescribed penalty of life in prison for Shoba’s crime.
