Registration Open for National Senior Certificate Examination Rewrite

Registration Open for National Senior Certificate Examination Rewrite. A few weeks ago, Matric results were released, and a pass rate of 76.4% was recorded. It goes without saying that those who did not make it are in distress, and wonder what next step to take.

If you wrote your National Senior Certificate exams in November 2021 and are not satisfied with your results there is still hope. This also applies to those who missed some of their exam sessions due to circumstances beyond your control. Another exam opportunity is available in May/June.

For those who wrote their matric any other year and still want to improve on their results provided they are still a NSC candidate (i.e. has not had their certificate changed to SC) they are also invited to register as part-time candidates for the NSC examinations.

That is the update from the Department of Basic Education, which is responsible for handling all education matters from Grades R-12. The closing date for NSC May/June 2022 exams the 11th of February, and it takes place at the education district offices. Whereas the NSC for November 2022 registration closes on the 18th of February 2022.
