Ntombi Mzolo Praises God for Her Daughter’s Recent Achievements In Sport. Talent definitely runs in the family. Caving her pwn path away from the entertainment industry, Nomvelo Mzolo is tapping into sport, and becoming as great as all her family members who are in the public eye.
It all starts with the grandparents are Bheki and Linah Ngcobo, famously known in the industry as Ihashi Elimhlophe and Linah Khama. The two are veteran musicians, who are still offering a lot to the industry. Then there is Nomvelo’s mom Ntombi Mzolo, a renowed TV personality, reality show star and musician. Her aunt is child star and TV personality Vusiwe Ngcobo. Nomvelo’s uncles are also into music, and were part of O Fuze reality show.
Instead of being in the creative industry like most of her family members, Nomvelo has opted for sports. She is so into it such that three years ago, she hosted the Nomvelo Mzolo Junior Netball tournament. She also is a Hockey player, doing amazing things in the sport. In 2025 Nomvelo got selected as the Vice Captain for Eastern Gauteng Schools Hockey u/13A. Her mother Ntombi, expressed how proud she is of her in an Instagram post.
Nomvelo is also bagging top awards courtesy of Hockey. In a recent tournament she emerged as number one, and won some other awards. As a supportive mother, Ntombi took to social media to celebrate her star daughter
