Dr Dadoo was a founder and leader of the Non-European United Front and of the Communist Party. And since going into exile in 1960, he escaped to Botswana.

Mr Makwetla is the current South African Deputy Minister of Justice. He went into exile in 1976. He lived in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho and Zambia.
