Applications Open for the Motus Apprenticeship Programme 2024 / 2025. Motus Hino Tshwane currently holds a vacancy for an Apprentice Level 1. The successful applicants will be reporting to the Manager: Service.

Expectations

• This position will be suited to a person who has flair of repairing commercial motor vehicles
• They should aspire to become a Diesel Mechanic Technician and willing to undergo Apprentice Training Programme for a maximum of four years.

Responsibilities:

• To assist with the repair of vehicles under the instructions of a Technician
• Remove / replace parts / units from vehicles under technician supervision
• Jack up vehicles and place trestles under technician supervision
• Lubricate and change oils (under supervision) as per manual specification
• Remove and replace wheels under supervision
• Remove and fit air and oil filters under supervision
• Assist with all vehicle repairs
• Remove and fit batteries under supervision
• Clean parts and housekeeping
• Attend prescribed technical / level courses
• Assist with housekeeping
• Keep tools and equipment clean and in good order
• Keep overalls clean and work area clean
• Follow Safety Rules
• Perform any other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time

Requirements:

• Must have Grade 12 with Pure Math and Physical Science
• Valid Driver’s License will be an added advantage code 14
• Must have a clear Criminal Record

NB. Preference will be given to candidates who studied Mechanical Engineering
