1. Randall Abrahams was born on the 26th of July 1969 in Cape Town.

2. He attended the University of Cape Town from 1988-1992, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons).

3. Randall started his career in the media at Good Hope FM in 1992 as a programming assistant, and went on to be station manager from 1994-1997.

4. He then left Good Hope and moved to Johannesburg where he helped establish the youth radio station YFM, taking up the position of Station Manager, where he remained until 2002.

5. From 2002-2006 Randall became the General Manager of Commercial Radio at the SABC, responsible for the success of 5FM, Metro FM and Good Hope FM.

6. Randall has also worked as a freelance journalist, contributing to such publications as Financial Mail, Tribute, Y Mag, Advantage and Blink.

7. He joined the Idols SA since the show launched in February 2002, where he co-judged alongside the likes of Mara Louw, Gareth Cliff, Somizi Mhlongo and Unathi Nkayi. His contract hasn’t been renewed after almost 20 years on Idols SA.

8. Idols SA, is not the only show Randall was a judge in. He was also a judge of the World Idols television competition in 2003, in which Idols 1 winner Heinz Winckler placed fourth.

9. As a businessman of note, Randall has been the owner/managing partner of the PR firm Total Exposure (who handle the publicity for SA’s Got Talent), of the events company Mushroom Productions and the multimedia marketing company RAMM.
