Breaking! 5 Suspects Arrested In Connection With Senzo Meyiwa’s Murder. It has been six years of heartache, speculations, assumption, but finally it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel. In a press conference, Police Minister, Bheki Cele revealed the latest developments on Senzo Meyiwa’s murder case.
Cele announced in an official press conference that SAPS has a ‘watertight’ case and evidence against the five unnamed suspects who were detained between 08h00 and 10h00 today. They were arrested in Gauteng and Kwazulu Natal. The minster further said that he cant reveal any information, as the investigations are still in progress.
“After gathering sufficient intelligence, information and evidence, I’m happy to announce that there has been a breakthrough in the Senzo Meyiwa case,” Cele said.
Cele said he will be briefing the Meyiwa family this evening.
Meyiwa was shot in front of his girlfriend, musician Kelly Khumalo at her Vosloorus home in 2014. A frenzy of speculation on the circumstances surrounding the alleged robbery, has been flying around since. In June 2019, it was reported that, at least 8 people were about to be arrested for the murder of Meyiwa.
