Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, consistency and accessibility of data across reports and databases.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
• Automate lead allocation and data-processing activities using SSIS.
• Analyse business data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Support the development and maintenance of SSRS reporting solutions.
• Enhance existing reports and dashboards to meet changing business requirements.
• Translate complex data into clear, meaningful and user-friendly presentations.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and business needs.
• Develop accurate and fit-for-purpose reporting solutions based on stakeholder requirements.
• Investigate data-related problems and resolve discrepancies where possible.
• Identify reporting errors and assist with corrective action.
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes and reporting efficiency.
• Support automation initiatives that improve data and reporting workflows.
• Ensure reports are delivered accurately and within required deadlines.
• Perform data validation and quality checks before reports are distributed.
• Maintain existing reporting solutions and update them when business requirements change.
• Work closely with senior team members to gain practical exposure to advanced BI projects.
• Contribute to business decisions by providing accurate and relevant data insights.

Requirements and Skills

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• National Senior Certificate or Grade 12.
• Completed relevant Diploma or Degree.
• Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence or a related field will be suitable.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Knowledge of SSRS and SSIS will be advantageous.
• Understanding of data analysis and reporting.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Must have a clear ITC record.
• Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Must not currently be employed.
• Must not currently be participating in another internship or learnership programme.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical and business skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and deliver accurate work.
