Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity, accuracy, consistency and accessibility of data across reports and databases.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
- Automate lead allocation and data-processing activities using SSIS.
- Analyse business data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Support the development and maintenance of SSRS reporting solutions.
- Enhance existing reports and dashboards to meet changing business requirements.
- Translate complex data into clear, meaningful and user-friendly presentations.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and business needs.
- Develop accurate and fit-for-purpose reporting solutions based on stakeholder requirements.
- Investigate data-related problems and resolve discrepancies where possible.
- Identify reporting errors and assist with corrective action.
- Identify opportunities to improve data processes and reporting efficiency.
- Support automation initiatives that improve data and reporting workflows.
- Ensure reports are delivered accurately and within required deadlines.
- Perform data validation and quality checks before reports are distributed.
- Maintain existing reporting solutions and update them when business requirements change.
- Work closely with senior team members to gain practical exposure to advanced BI projects.
- Contribute to business decisions by providing accurate and relevant data insights.
Requirements and Skills
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- National Senior Certificate or Grade 12.
- Completed relevant Diploma or Degree.
- Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence or a related field will be suitable.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Knowledge of SSRS and SSIS will be advantageous.
- Understanding of data analysis and reporting.
- Must have a clear criminal record.
- Must have a clear ITC record.
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must not currently be employed.
- Must not currently be participating in another internship or learnership programme.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical and business skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and deliver accurate work.
