Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest level of adidas customer service by providing friendly, professional and helpful assistance to every customer.
• Welcome customers into the store and help them identify products that match their needs, preferences and personal style.
• Explain product features and technical information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
• Use effective selling techniques, including add-on sales, to improve the shopping experience and support individual and store sales targets.
• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit cards, cheques and other applicable payment methods when required.
• Learn to use the point-of-sale system efficiently and follow all relevant transaction policies and procedures.
• Assist with product ticketing and check paperwork against items received to support accurate stock handling.
• Help move merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor to maintain product availability.
• Assist with developing and maintaining merchandise displays according to store management instructions and schedules.
• Keep product displays neat, attractive and organised in line with adidas presentation standards.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning the store and ensuring the sales floor remains presentable.
• Assist customers at the store entrance during busy periods when required, helping manage customer flow and welcoming shoppers.
• Protect company assets and handle merchandise responsibly.
• Support loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor, reporting suspicious activity and following the relevant security procedures and SLAP requirements.
• Participate in in-store and digital training programmes, including Atticus and AREA, to improve product knowledge and learn role best practices.
• Keep up to date with adidas products, product features and relevant selling techniques.
• Familiarise yourself with Power BI tools to better understand store performance, best-selling products and blackhole product information.
• Assist the store management team with day-to-day store maintenance and additional operational tasks as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver sales results and maintain a positive customer experience.
• Adapt to changing store priorities and help in different areas of the business when required.

Requirements and Skills

• Matric certificate.
• Between zero and one year of retail experience.
• Previous fashion retail experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
