Job description
Medium size national agency requires a highly dynamic, creative and talented mid-level graphic designer. Do you have fresh design ideas and a strong desire to produce effective brand campaigns by designing elements on various through the line design elements?
- Aware of social media requirements and an understanding of social media impact
- Exceptional knowledge of design conventions along with advanced skills in HTML, Adobe CS6/CC: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential
- Proven skills in typography and layout
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Demonstrable portfolio and experience in a digital marketing and/or graphic design role
- Confidence, to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues
- Interpreting the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
- Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
- Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief
- Knowledge of print and production processes so able to take design through to DTP finished art and final PDFs
- Strong computer skills – keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign
- Be aware of and expose themselves to the world of branding and design
- Produce designs for corporate identity, brochures, point-of-purchase, packaging, promotions, presence branding, etc. – this involves using techniques such as photography, illustration and computer generated imagery
Requirements
- Three to five years’ experience in graphic design (CVs lacking the amount of experience will not be accepted)
- Proficient in design
- Experience working on social media an advantage
- Experience working on below the line advertising material, including corporate identities
- Careful attention to detail and able to take creative through finished art to final print ready PDF
- Should your application secure you an interview please take note that you will get a short campaign brief, and will have to conceptualise, design, resize artwork for two marketing campaigns
