Wiseman Mncube Reacts to Be Likened to the Late Menzi Ngubane

Wiseman Mncube Reacts to Be Likened to the Late Menzi Ngubane. To be compared to someone great is truly and honor. That is why Wiseman Mncube doesn’t take it lightly that many liken him to the iconic Menzi Ngubane.

Wiseman is one of the actors currently doing the most in the industry. The multi-award winning actor, producer and musician bags lead roles and awards every now and then. Of recent he has starred in The Wife, Shaka iLembe Nkalakatha: The Life of Mandoza and My Brother’s Keeper, among others. A month ago, Wiseman was honored with a Champions of KZN award for making the province proud. He recently won the Best Actor in a TV Series award at the 2023 National Film Awards.

The late Menzi was also a force to be reckoned with. He is best known for playing the role of Sibusiso Dlomo in Generations from 2003 to 2014. Ngubane also played in numerous shows including Yizo Yizo, Ashes to Ashes, Gold Diggers, and Heist. In 2016, he joined the cast of Isibaya, playing a taxi firm manager with a dubious past. He won a SAFTa for Best Actor for the role.

Ngubane appeared in a number of South African films, including How to Steal 2 Million. The film won Best Picture at the 2012 Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Sadly Ngubane suffered ill health for a number of years. He died from a stroke on 13 March 2021, aged 56.

Seeing Wiseman’s performance, some online publications say he is on Menzi’s level of brilliance. With humility, Wiseman has responded that he is not yet there. However, he is working to be counted among the best.

Yooooh not yet but I’m working hard to be mentioned amongst the best one day,” Wiseman said.

He also sang Menzi’s praises, and shared a cool throwback of the two on Facebook. Wiseman regards Menzi as his inspiration, role model, father and Lord of acting.

And will forever be inspired Somahhashi. I Remember when I saw this post on your insta handle…it was a “jaaaaah neh” moment.

On this day you said “yabona bafana ningikhumbuza mina ngezikhathi zami” referring to eHostela season 1 and today people are saying I’m slowly walking in your footsteps and you being my day 1 role model…my father my lord of acting, it shows ukuthi ngiza kahle.

RIP king and continue to shine bright nasemazulwini 🙏🏾.

A beautiful day indeed 👊🏾
