Of all the talent that is in the African continent, for one to emerge as the most awarded on air personality speaks volumes. Bonang Matheba is without a doubt the Queen she thinks she is.

According to a post by Africa First X (Twitter) page, Bonang holds the number 1 spot as the most awarded On Air Personality (OAP) in Africa. The celebrated media darling and entrepreneur has won many awards here at home, and internationally. All of these are well deserved because Bonang gives her all in everything that she does.

In May 2019 Bonang won the coveted Award for Best Inspiration & Influence at the prestigious Global Social Awards held in Prague, Czech Republic. A month later, she was announced as one of the recipients of the E! Africa Ultimate Pop Culture Icon Award ahead of the TV channel’s 15-year anniversary celebrations in April 2019. The following year, she won Favourite Personality of the Year at the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards. Some of her accolades include the COSMO Influencer Award and GLAMOUR’s Most Glamourous Celebrity Icon award. In the 15th year of the Sunday Times Generation Next Awards. Bonang was awarded the Coolest Online Influencer. She also bagged the Women of The Year Award at the 2020 GQ Men of the Year awards.
