Debt Collector Opportunity at Truworths Pretoria

Truworths is hiring a Debt Collector for their Pretoria office. This is a permanent, on-site role within the Credit Service department. The position supports the company’s goal of maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring timely payments in South Africa’s retail sector. The closing date for applications is 3 December 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise customers of total due amounts (arrears or instalments)
• Request immediate payment or confirm a promise to pay (PTP)
• Confirm the next payment date and check alignment with salary date and last payment
• Explain consequences of non-payment and benefits of paying on time
• Negotiate for full payment or multiple PTPs
• Offer credit card payment options and explain benefits
• Offer debit order payments and explain advantages
• Update all customer information accurately using correct action codes

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent qualification
