DJ Fresh Shares An Update On the Radio Station Project He And His Team Has Been Working On. There are so many veteran broadcasters who fans would love to see back on radio. One such is DJ Fresh, who has had a great run on major radio stations. Sadly for him personal issues, made him lose some of his jobs as a a radio presenter.

Fresh is still in the broadcasting industry, with his won podcast called What A Week (WAW). He has interviewed many great personalities including his late wife Thabiso Sikwane, Greg Maloka, Mo Flava, Lamiez Holworthy, Yanga Chief, Mapaseka Koetle and many others. Although the platform is growing, many still want to see Fresh back on the mainstream radio. That day might be sooner than anticipated though.

A few months back, Fresh, Unathi and Greg Maloka shared identical posts about a new show on 93.8FM. Radio lovers were never ready, when on the 1st of April 2025, Unathi and Fresh hosted a show together on the online radio station. The masses were happy, as the two are among some of the best broadcasters we have in the country. Some even stated that radio is back.

Well, there is more developments with regards to 93.8FM. Fresh has just shared that he and his team have been working on building a radio station. They will officially go live on the 18th of July, a day known as Mandela Day. This morning though, they teased a breakfast show, hosted by Fresh himself. 938 Fresh Breakfast morning show has been received well by those who tuned in.

For the past couple of months we have been busy with a passion project, building a radio station WE would listen to. On Mandela Day (18th July) we GO LIVE!! Today only, #938FreshBreakfast is live from Epicure in Rosebank. Join us on http://938.co.za or 93.8 on your FM dial in Johannesburg,” Fresh said.
