Sol Phenduka Gives It Up to Uber Drivers in SA. Being and Uber driver is undoubtedly one of the most dangerous jobs out there. Everyday one deals with unruly passenger/s, drunk passenger/s, driving around dangerous neighborhoods, sleepiness while driving, be in a collision, being held up and so forth.

On top of everything these drivers have to deal with public transport drivers, who constantly make their lives a living hell. Having noted all of that though, some passengers have also complained about Uber drivers. There have been cases of abductions, rapes, robberies as well as killings of passengers by some of Uber drivers and other meter taxis.

With the high rate of unemployment in the country, a lot of young people are putting their driver’s licenses to good use by becoming Uber drivers. Sadly this is one job where anything can happen to you as a driver, or as a passenger at any given moment. Just like most people, Sol Phenduka has realized this, and feels for the drivers the most.

Taking to Twitter the media personality and former Big Brother Mzansi participant acknowledges that this is a dangerous job, where an individual can lose their lives, just like that. He thanked the drivers for their bravery, as they put food on the table.

“Guys . Uber drivers in SA do a seriously dangerous job . At any give point one can end up with a gun against their head …… I really just want to thank them for their bravery . Fetching and helping people at odd times of the evening and at times In not so safe places,” Sol said.
