Job Purpose:
The Silo Worker plays a key role in supporting daily silo operations. This includes material handling, cleaning, basic maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance. The role ensures the smooth loading, unloading, storage, and movement of grain while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain general tidiness and housekeeping of the silo premises.
• Assist with loading and offloading stock for customers and suppliers according to procedures.
• Perform cleaning duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
• Support stock control and inventory management.
• Ensure safety procedures and operational standards are followed at all times.
• Provide assistance to the team and maintain a cooperative work environment.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or NQF4.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces (training provided).
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous experience in industrial, agricultural, or construction settings is advantageous.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
