Tweeps Weigh In On Shwaun Mkhize and Andile Publicly Rewarding Players With Hard Cash. It was a given that with the arrival of Royal AM, at the Premier League, things were going to get interesting. So far we have been served motorcades of the most expensive cars, and money has been shown off left, right and centre.

After losing in court to be crowned the GladAfrica Championships, Mam’Mkhize contemplated another plan to be in the PSL. The flamboyant entrepreneur took many by surprise when she bought Premier Division status of Bloemfontein Celtic for a whooping R50m. This saw the team which was based in Bloemfontein now change their name to Royal AM and relocate to KwaZulu-Natal.

So far the team has been doing very well in the premier league, and people are paying attention. They had the country talking a few weeks ago when they beat Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs 4-1. This past Sunday, Royal AM beat provincial rivals Maritzburg United 2-1 at Chatsworth stadium. This was their fourth consecutive win, which is something worth a celebration.

To celebrate, Mam’Mkhize and her son Andile Mpisane came into the field holding hard cash to reward the players. The two were dancing, followed by an entourage as they came to give their players some incentives. Some people were not impressed by all this saying it is unprofessional and treating the players like some kind of beggars. Some also said, it wasn’t noble but was all about show off.

Others however argued that there is nothing wrong with what the mother and son did, as it has been done by many people in power positions. They gave examples of political parties as well as well of celebs who always splash out cash to their supporters and fans.
