Applications Open for the National Disaster Management Centre 2027 External Bursary Programme. The Department of Cooperative Governance (DCoG) through the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) invites applications from qualifying students for the 2027 academic year who intend pursuing an Undergraduate / Post-Graduate Diploma/ Advance Diploma/ Masters Full Programme in Disaster Management or Fire Technology / Fire Engineering qualification (excluding certificates and PhD qualifications) at a recognized Public Higher Institution of South Africa.

Requirements

• Be a South African citizen
• Have applied, been accepted/ or registered for an Undergraduate / Post-Graduate Diploma/ Advance Diploma/ Masters Full Programme in Disaster Management or Fire Technology / Fire Engineering qualification at a registered South African institute (excluding certificates and PhD qualifications)

Documents

• Most recent academic results/ statement/ transcript with the minimum average of 60% for Undergraduate / Post-Graduate Diploma/ Advance Diploma and a minimum average of 65% for Masters applicants.
• Proof of application / acceptance / registration
• Brief Curriculum Vitae (maximum of 2 pages, only for Master’s applicant)
