Arthur Mafokate Denies Abuse Allegations By Girlfriend Cici

Kwaito musician and record label owner Arthur Mafokate spoke up for the first time since the breaking news of the drama that had occurred between him and girlfriend Cici a week ago.

Cici was admitted to hospital last week because of severe injuries said to have been caused by Arthur in domestic violence. It is alleged that Arthur had beaten up Cici and dragged her by the car. Then Cici pressed charges of assault against Arthur.

Social media reacted furiously about this event, since it was just a follow up of a number of reoccurring female abuse in South Africa. When Arthur was asked to comment about this incident, he remained silent until now. Arthur was charged with common assault, he also laid charges against Cici.

Arthur called these allegations baseless. “The claims are baseless, I am not an abuser and I never will be” he said. Arthur claims that he is innocent and went as far as to say, he will fight the case to prove his innocence and clear his name.

Cici shared a picture of bruised and operated pelvic on social media over the weekend.
