About the Young Entrepreneurship programme
Investec wants to grow the South African economy and society. We focus on education and entrepreneurship. We want to develop a skilled and well educated population, grow businesses and enable employment and growth opportunities.
The Young Entrepreneurship programme provides a platform that exposes South African entrepreneurs to global business. Entrepreneurs get to grow their networks, and engage globally with venture capitalists, funders and captains of industry.
Objectives
- Grow entrepreneurial networks by creating business contacts and networks between South African entrepreneurs and their international counterparts.
- Facilitate access to persons of inspiration, insights and motivations into business through a global exposure platform.
- Showcase social and for profit entrepreneurship approaches which provide insights into how businesses can be a force for good in society.
- Expose innovation and exploration of how technology and new methods of thinking can be applied to improve business.
- Showcase the best of South African entrepreneurs and initiate engagement with potential donors, companies and other stakeholders.
