Simphiwe Ngema Returns to Acting With A Lead Role. It has been a minute since we have seen Simphiwe Ngema do her thing in the small screen. All of that is coming to an end very soon, as the talented actor has bagged a cool acting gig.

Simphiwe has joined the stellar cast of KUNINGI a new show that will air in Mzansi Magic. The compelling new series following a single mother who lands the opportunity of a lifetime, only to come face-to-face with unresolved ghosts from her past. Simphiwe has not shared much about her role, but one thing for sure, viewers will be fed. Other cast members include Samkelo Ndlovu, Kay Sibiya, Andy Mguni, Ratanang Mogotsi and Siyamthanda Nxumalo.

Simphiwe’s acting career began in 2008, when she was cast in a stage production called The Game. She played the character of ‘Pretty Khumalo’, a prostitute who is in jail for the murder of her father. When The Game concluded Simphiwe went on to finish her journalism studies and graduated in 2010. In 2011 she began portraying the character of Thuli Nkosi on Muvhango until June 2015.

Simphiwe was also featured in productions such as Sheila’s Day (stage production) and Qaphela (industrial theatre) in 2009 and a feature film called Droplets in 2015. She then played a character by the name of Noni Ndlovu, who is a mentally ill self-proclaimed psychologist on Mzansi Magic’s Greed and Desire. Other shows Simphiwe has been include Isidingo, Forever Yena, 365 Days and Cop and A Half movie.
