“I Am Incredibly Grateful to Have Portrayed Mpumi,” Karabelo Ramabodu

“I Am Incredibly Grateful to Have Portrayed Mpumi,” Karabelo Ramabodu. One thing about an opportunity,, when you get it, use it to the best of your ability. Karabelo Ramabodu did just that when she bagged the role of Mpumi Sedibeng in Genesis.
Mpumi was not a lead character, but went on to grow, to become among the characters that viewers loved. She came in as the supportive big sister to Mmaarona Sedibeng (Gaosi Ratholo), a Gospel sensation. Although she was massively talented, the music industry wasn’t kind to Mmaarona. Genesis Records, which she was signed to showed her dust. Mmaarona was romantically involved with Bonko, the heir to Genesis, but their relationship brought nothing but ruin to them and their families. There was infidelity, secrets, lies, in-law drama and every toxic thing one can think of.
For the longest time, Mpumi showed support to her sister. She even claimed Mmaarona’s child as hers, just to save her relationship. There came a point where Mpumi had to cave her own path, and launch herself as a musician. This caused fight among the Sedibengs, and hectic sibling rivalry between her and Mmaarona. Mpumi also dated Gabriel, who showed her emotionally, financially and professionally. As Genesis came to an end, Mpumi was set on getting her revenge. The final episode, she got in a shooting rampage, killing Gabriel, Bonko and Felicia.
Karabelo has been receiving praise for how she nailed her role. She in turn is grateful for the positive feedback, and gives credit to God
I have received remarkably positive comments regarding this scene, and I feel truly honored and blessed. I am incredibly grateful to have portrayed Mpumi. What an incredible way for God to show of!” Karabelo said in gratitude.
