Everyone who knows and follows Ntsiki on social media, knows very well how Pro Black she is. The renowned poet, TV personality, musician and podcaster always advocates for black people. She even put those who wear weaves or support ‘white media’, on blast for being fake. In most things that she does, Ntsiki always make sure people recognizes her as a strong black woman.
One tweep asked her what her English name was, after discovering that Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane is also named Joyce. Ntsiki jokingly said that her parents were woke, as she and her siblings don’t have English names.
“My parents were woke none of us have English names iyoh,” Ntsiki said.
Her big sister Thandiswa Mazwai was quick to correct her on that one though. The multi-award winning singer an songwriter revealed that Ntsiki’s English name is Gwendolyn. Thandiswa also added that their baby sister Nomsa’s English name is Petunia. According to Thandiswa, she is the only sibling who doesn’t have an English name. Her middle name is Nyameka.
“Lies! Your English name is Gwendolyn. I’m the only one without an English name Thandiswa Nyameka Mazwai,” she corrected Ntsiki.
