“No Record of Matric Certificate,” Gauteng Department of Education On Dr Matthew Lani. This entire week should be labeled, ‘The Chronicles of Dr Matthew Lani‘. The man has trended through out the week, and any fresh information about him.

So many people out there have forged certificates, and went on to pursue careers they didn’t deserve. Some get caught, while others get away with it. For Dr Lani though, it was evident that soon, he will be exposed, as most things were not adding up. His educational background is one of the things that eventually showed the loopholes in his story. He mentioned he skipped grades, and associated himself with institutions like Cambridge International College and Wits University.

Both institutions denied having him in their records. Wits issued out a statement a day ago, saying they can’t find anyone who graduated with his names in recent years. The university thus asked Dr Lani to retract claims he studied with them with immediate effect. On top of everything, none of the doctors who studied at Wits, round about the time he claims he did remembers him. Cambridge International College, also refuted claims that he studied with them.

Now Dr Lani is being denied by a whole department. The Gauteng Department of Education states that there is no record of Matric certificate for the alleged bogus doctor. According to their official records, and individual by the name Matthew Lani was enrolled at Bordelaux Primary School in Randburg in 2007. He was then referred to Gresswold Learners with Special Need School in Kew, in 2010.

In 2014, he re-emerged in the system at Fourways Adult Centre, where he wrote three subjects as a part-time student. Lani only passed one subject of the three.
