10 Interesting Facts About Shaka iLembe’s Ntando Zondi (Prince Shaka Zulu)

Shaka iLembe series has given so many actors an opportunity to shine. One of those is Ntando Zondi, who is currently making waves. Learn more about this talent from the 10 facts below;

1. 15 year old Ntando Zondi  was born in KwaMashu in KwaZulu-Natal.

2. He is doing grade 8, and this is his first year in high school.

3. Because of his talent, Ntando has awards to his name. He was awarded certificates in drama (2), arts and culture (1) and academics (1) in his final year of primary school. 

5. The upcoming star burst into the entertainment industry after being chosen to portray the role of the young Prince Shaka on Shaka iLembe. The Prince is the son of King Senzangakhona kaJama and Queen Nandi kaMbengi.

6. Being part of this production is an honor and very special to him and his family. “I cannot believe I am part of a series that is so epic and telling an important story. I am so grateful for the opportunity and taking on the big role of young Shaka Zulu who grows to become a formidable king in the future. For me this is a life-changing experience.”

7. Despite his amazing talent, Ntando has no formal training in acting. He however has loved it for years and always dreamed of becoming an actor.

8. When casting directors called him back for a second audition, he almost did not answer as it was an unknown number. Little did he know it was a call that would change his life.

9. He regards Nomzamo Mbatha, who plays Nandi in the series, as his mentor. The talented actress was always by his side during filming. 

10. Ntando’s dream is to become an entrepreneur and international actor in future.
