Nokuthula Mavuso Bids The River Farewell. It is always sad to see an iconic character exit a show. Sadly, that’s how things go, in order for the storyline to move forward. The character that will soon disappear from our TV screens, is that of Angelina, played by the talented Nokuthula Mavuso on The River.
Two ears back, Nokuthula hinted on Twitter that she was leaving the award-winning 1Magic telenovela. As it is with the case of dramas, Angelina soon made a comeback to continue with her role. Viewers have been enjoying everything about her, more so how she handled her villainous role.
The award winning actress joined The River in 2018, to play the role of Angelina, Cobra’s baby mama. The complex and powerful character showed off Nokuthula’s amazing talent as an actress. Her portrayal of Angelina captivated viewers and showcased her ability to convey depth, emotion, and nuance in her performances. This role garnered her critical acclaim and established her as one of South Africa’s most talented actresses.
Unfortunately, even great things do come to an end, and so has Angelina character. Nokuthula took to Twitter to reveal that she is exiting The River, and she is all gracious about it. She thanked the show, as well as Tshedza Pictures and 1Magic for the opportunity. She also thanked the cast and crew members, as well as her spouse, who kept things running at home while she was shooting.
