Here Is How You Can Check Your Matric Results. The day that so many people around the country have been waiting for has finally arrived. After a bit of delay, the 2022 matric results have been released. The release dates were delayed due to the knock-on effects of Covid-19 pandemic disruptions.
The Independent Examinations Board results was released early on Wednesday, 18 January, which is two days ahead of National Senior Certificate results. The matric results for learners in public schools are scheduled to be announced on 19 January 2023 and distributed by schools and exam centres on January 20.
Individual matric results for Independent Examinations Board (IEB) pupils have been available online from 00:01 on 18 January. On the other hand, individual National Senior Certificate (NSC) results will be published online at 06:00 on 20 January for most provinces. The Western Cape will publish its results at 16:00 the same day.
- 2022 NSC full-time candidates may access their individual results on the Department of Basic Education website from 6am on 20 January 2023.
- The Statement of Results will be available from 20 January 2023 at the school/exam centre where the candidate wrote.

Students can also send their ID number and exam number via SMS to 35658. Both numbers must have 13 digits to be accepted, and there is a once-off cost of R3 to register. Once registration is completed, results will be delivered by SMS when they are released.
You can also use the USSD service by dialling *120*35658#. After answering multiple questions, enter your ID number. You’ll receive your results per subject after you have completed the process. You’ll have the option to opt in or out to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act. USSD rates apply.
