Khulu Skenjana Celebrates His Scandal! Scene Hitting Over 5.4 Million Viewers. This is how a legend bows out of a show! Ever since we got introduced to Gorbachev on Scandal!, we knew hell was going to break loose. And boy he did not disappoint one bit.
Together with his boss Mamba (Simo Magwaza), the two gave us a thrilling performance on their last scene a couple of weeks ago. They started off as the best of buddies, but they let greed and lust get between their brotherhood. Sadly the deadly shoot out they were involved in took their lives, ad that was the end of the characters on Scandal!. Love or hate them, they brought the much needed drama to the hit show.
Gorbachev was played by award winning actor, Khulu Skenjana who has been in the industry for years. Although it is sad to exit a show, Skenjana is happy over the milestone that his iconic scene reached. He thanked Scandal! as well as e.tv for the honor of him being part of what he calls a winning team. Skenjana also thanked the viewers, who are without a doubt the reason for this milestone. His wish is for him to be crowned the winner of the award for “Best on Screen Death”, if such a category even exists in the SAFTAs.
This was one of the most explosive episodes, filled with anger and rage. Over 5.4 million viewers were glued to the screen in utter disbelief of the unexpected twist of events. A number of talented actors have left Scandal this year. They include Hungani Ndlovu (Romeo), Lusanda Mbane(Boniswa), and Patrick Mofokeng (Mlungisi Ngema) among others. While some people are worried about the loss of talent, the show is shaking things up with six new faces, who will make up the Kubeka family. They are, Fana Mokoena, Slindile Nodangala, Sihle Ndaba, Robert Mpisi, Nolwazi Ngubeni and Wendy Gumede.
