When celebs keep quite on pressing political issues a lot of people come after them for not using their public status to influence change. Again when they share their views, they are told to stick to their careers and live political issues to those in the know.

One of those celebrities who has been told off over her political views is Pearl Thusi. The actress and media personality is constantly bashed for her tweets about Xenophobia, for her views on colourism among other things. At some point Thusi deleted her Twitter account because it was just too much for her to handle all the negativity.

Another celebrity, Thuso Mbedu suffered the same fate over the weekend. The award winning actress tweeted that South Africa is burning, a statement that did not sit well with a lot of her followers. They felt that Mbedu should have said KwaZulu Natal because that is where it was at the moment. Some went in hard to say that money has changed her, and she thinks she knows better.

Well Mbedu was more than ready to take the trolls down one by one. She stood by her tweet reasoning that when a person of a particular province does well, the whole country is celebrated, so the whole principle should be applied even on cases like this. As to those who said Mbedu has been changed by money, she put them in their place with fierce clap backs.
