Mrs World 2024 Tshego Gaelae Announces Pregnancy. Congratulations are in order to Tshego Gaelae, who is expecting her second child. The beauty queen took to her social media to share the beautiful news. She showed off her growing bump, ultrasound scan and the pregnancy test results.
Tshego shares her blessing with her husband, Tshepo Leatile Gaelae, who she got married to in 2019. The couple have a son together, Boikanyo, who was born 27 January 2020). She has not however shared much about the coming baby,in terms of the gender and how far along she is. One thing for sure though, she is over the moon and ready to welcome the new additional family member. After announcing her pregnancy, Tshego was congratulated by the likes of Lalela Mswane, Matapa Maila, Zenande Mfenyane,among other industry colleagues.
A Successful Beauty Queen
Tshego was crowned Mrs South Africa by her predecessor Palesa Matjekane on Friday, 17 November 2023 at the Theatre of Marcellus in Emperors Palace beating runner-up Pearl Nikolic from Pretoria and second runner-up Noeline Rajbally from Durban to the crown.
Following her win, she received prizes including a new car courtesy of Chery Krugersdorp, travel packages, luxury home appliances, clothing, and business and public relations services, for her to use throughout her reign. The achievement allowed Tshego to represent South Africa at the Mrs. World 2025 competition.
Mrs. World 2024
Tshego was crowned Mrs. World 2024 in Las Vegas, USA on Friday, 31 January 2025 with Ishadi Amanda of Sri Lanka as the first runner-up and Ploy Panperm of Thailand as the second runner-up. She made history by becoming the first ever black woman to clinch the Mrs. World title since its inception 40 years back. Tshego is also the second South African to be crowned Mrs. World. She crowned her successor, Chanita Seedaket Craythorne of Thailand, on 29 January 2026.
