Applications Open for the Allan Gray Makers StartUp Academy Programme 2026. The Allan Gray Makers StartUp Academy 2026 is an 8-month incubation programme.

About the Programme

The 8-month incubation programme is designed to provide entrepreneurship training and comprehensive support to aspiring artisan entrepreneurs aiming to establish new businesses in the bricklaying, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing trades.

Requirements

• Age: 18-35
• Relevant trade: Bricklaying/Carpentry/Electrical/Plumbing
• Unemployed or self-employed (not studying full-time)
• Qualified bricklayer, carpenter, electrician or plumber with a trade test
• OR, have 3 years work experience in the relevant trade and are ready to take the trade test
• OR, N2 Certificate and 3 years work experience in either the bricklaying, carpentry, electrical or plumbing trade

Required Documents

• N2 Certificate/National Technical Diploma/ Trade Test if applicable
• Proof of work experience/Service letters
• National Senior Certificate (is advantageous)
• Certified Copy of ID
