“If You Were the One Coming Home Today,” Lynn Forbes As Suspects In AKA’s Murder Are Brought to South Africa. It can never be easy for the families of Keirnan AKA Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. Every development in their murder case leads to the opening up of old wounds.
The two friends were shot dead on 10 February 2023, outside a restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. The pair are thought to have been on their way to a nightclub for a performance as part of AKA’s birthday celebrations when they were shot. It is not clear what the motive behind the shootings are,but many suspects there has always been a hit on AKA’s head for the passing of his fiance Nelly Tembe in April 2021.
Since the rappers’ passing his family and friends have never stopped paying tributes to him. Every milestone, or just a random thought, has them on social media expressing how they miss him. His parents Lynn and Tony Forbes have done a lot of interviews speaking about their son. They also share moving posts about him on their respective social media platforms.
Today there has been some developments on AKA and Tibz murder case. Their suspected killers, Siyabonga and Malusi Nzimande, have been extradited from eSwatini and have just appeared in court. This has caused a stir on social media, with Lynn being among those sharing posts. She opened up about how difficult all this is to her, and how she wished it was AKA coming home instead.
“If you were the one coming home today … that would be justice for me. Everything else is just process. This South African air is suffocating today … I cannot breathe 💔,” Lynn said.
