Operation Dudula Defends It’s President Zandile Dubula Against Claims That She Is A Foreigner. Operation Dudula started off as an anti-migrant group set-up in Soweto by Nhlanhla “Lux” Dlamini. Dlamini rose to prominence for his role in defending Maponya Mall from looters in the July 2021 unrest.
Operation Dudula has since spread to other parts of the country. They are notorious for raiding businesses belonging to foreign nationals and forcing shops to close. The organization which has turned into a political party, also hinder foreign nationals from seeking medical assistance at government health facilities. The group has no membership structure, is highly visible on social media and is composed of mainly affected community members.
Currently trending on social media is their leader, Zandile Dubula. The TV personality and activist is accused of also being a foreign national. Coming to her defense, Operation Dudula has posted a series of statements accusing political leaders of attacking her. They argue that, instead of leaders tackling social issues, they are trying to silence the voice of the poor. Operation Dudula also speaks highly of the job that Zandile has done for the organization and communities.

Our Communities Under Siege! ![]()
Since 1 September 2025, more than 50 South Africans have been killed in the Cape Flats.
Drugs like nyaope, crystal meth, expired food, and cough syrups are being flooded into poor communities every single day.
Meanwhile, instead of standing with the people, political leaders attack Zandile Dabula and Operation Dudula — trying to silence the voice of the poor!
We say: No retreat, no surrender!
,” Operation Dudula posted on Facebook.
“They are trying to discredit our President Zandile Dabula just to silence her voice. But we see through it — her work and dedication to our communities speak louder than their attacks!”
“The desperation of Malema’s supporters spreading fake gossip about Operation Dudula and its leadership, Zandile Dubula, is both laughable and sad. Like many patriots, Zandile’s spirit was ignited by the growing challenges of undocumented immigration in South Africa. We stand firmly with her and the mission to put South Africans first.”
