Jojo Robinson and Nonku Williams Give Their Friendship Another Shot. Joku is back like it’s never left! Over the past few couple of weeks, Jojo Robinson and Nonku Williams went through the ultimate friendship test. There were loyalty issues, gossips, and each of the ladies moved on with new people in their circle.
Nonku and Jojo met on Season II of the Real Housewives of Durban, and became an inseparable pair. They celebrated each other, defended each other in front of critics, rocked coordinated outfits, attended events together among other things. Nonku and Jojo’s friendship went beyond the reality show, outside of the cameras, they were also tight. Their sons also spent time together, creating a cute bond. In 2023, Joku was nominated for a Drama Queen of the Year Award at the Feather Award.
Season 5 of the Real Housewives of Durban, saw their friendship get tested. They were no longer as tight, and felt that Nonku sort of bullied Jojo. Nonku also shared to Londie London and Sorisha Naidoo that what she had with Jojo was just for the show. This broke Jojo, who cried during the reunion, after finding this out. She started growing closer to other cast members, broadening her friendship circle. Nonku found a friend in another reality show star and entrepreneur Beverley Steyn.
Each lady released a statement addressing the status of their friendship. Jojo poured her heart out on an Instagram, saying she valued what they had. She also expressed gratitude over their bond. Jojo also said that she forgives Nonku, and asked her to do the same to her. Jojo ended her note with an apology to their fans, who have supported them from the get go. Nonku also penned a statement, addressing what she call misunderstandings about their friendship. She shared that she never meant for it to appear like she didn’t value Jojo. Nonku added that the two have agreed to meet soon to discuss their relationship.
Well, that meeting has been had, and the two are back at being buddies. Jojo posted a video of her meeting up Nonku, adding all the humor that their fans have been missing.
