Here is the Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Award Winners Full List. Established in 2022, the Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards is a platform that is aimed at recognizing and celebrating Youth Excellence. The top 16 youth-owned brands awards acknowledges that young people are not only contributing to the economy of South Africa, but the overall image of the country.
This year’s YOBAs ceremony, took place on 22 June in Sandton. For the first time in 3 years, the YOBAs introduced a special award that aims to celebrate and honour local youth-owned brands that are excelling in their fields and challenge the status-quo. The award went to Thebe Magugu, a fashion designer who, has gained global acclaim for his fashion label. Robot Boii was also a big winner of the night, walking away with two awards. Khosi Twala’s Active Lifestyle clothing brand, also walked away with an award.

The media personality and entertainer walked away with two awards. Robot Boii won the Overall Top Brand award and Top Personalities and Influencers Brand award.
Thebe Magugu
The international award winning designer was awarded the Global Excellence Award.
