Pics! Mpho Wabadimo Graces the Ancestors Day Event. One thing that Mpho Wabadimo prides herself in, is being a Sangoma. From the moment she stepped in the Big Brother Mzansi house over two years back, Mpho made it clear who she was to the viewers as well as other housemates.
On Wednesday, South Africa observed Ancestor’s Day. The reality show star, actress and entrepreneur joined other healers and celebs in the festivities. Mpho was one of the speakers, and she spoke on being a Sangoma and a public figure. She also elaborated on what representation of culture and connection with ancestors should be.
“In the Spirit of Africa Month , Yesterday we celebrated #ancestorsday & poured one for the ancestors 🍻.
The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa collaborated with communities, and cultural custodians to have 8 May celebrated as Ancestor’s Day & @castlemilkstout_sa has been in the forefront of this powerful initiative and movement. This isn’t another public holiday but it is an important day , it is a day of Reflection and Honouring those who came before us,” Mpho said.
She regards it an honor to be part of the celebration, as a traditional healer. Mpho also encouraged others to also honor and embrace the day.
