“This Was Not the End We Shot,” Khabonina Qubeka Not Happy About Deleted and Edited Scenes. Currently making waves on both social media and the mainstream media, is Shaka iLembe. For the past 12 weeks, viewers have been captivated by the masterclass acting, interesting storylines, as well as the much needed history lessons

One prominent character in Shaka iLembe is without a doubt Queen Ntombazi. She was the mother to the Ndwandwe leader, King Zwide kaLanga. Season II, saw how ruthless the Ndwandwe clan was, as they desperately wanted to spill King Shaka’s blood. They started by killing his ally, King Dingiswayo, and Ntombazi was gifted his head. Shaka and Mzilikazi, one of the great warriors, avenged Dingiswayo’s death by killing 5 of Zwide’s sons. The Zulus, went on to also defeated the Ndwandwes, in a close battle, that saw them became the most powerful clan. The Ndwandwe kingdom was attacked, destroyed and the Queen Mother, Ntombazi was killed.

It goes without saying that Khaboina Qubeka killed the role of Ntombazi. The veteran actress, became the villain that Ntombazi was, as told by history. She is being hailed by fans and industry peers all over social media Sadly though, it seems as if Khabonina, is not happy by some things on the show. She has shared that some scenes got edited, while others have been deleted. According to Khabonina, she gave her best to the ending but it wasn’t shown to the viewers.

“Luv. Thanks for this. My heart was shattered💔 when I saw the end 😭 last night. This was not the end we shot. I guess they decided to delete a few scenes & edit some moments. Was looking forward to your reaction to her ending. I had dedicated that performance to u guys😭💔🙏🏾,” Khabonina said.
