Zamani Mbatha Shares More of His Character On Upcoming Telenovela Land of Mills & Money. A few weeks back, Zamani Mbatha introduced his new role in the highly anticipated telenovela, Land of Mills & Money. The talented actor has been cast to play, Muzi Mhlongo, a character we all can’t wait to meet. Now Zamani is back with another update,which has excited many.
About the Show
Land of Mills & Money is anchored by family dynamics. The telenovela explores themes of love, lies, justice and redemption. It is set in the heart of Mpumalanga in the fictitious town of Shonalanga, where the land is ploughed for the riches of the very few.
The series revolves around a fiercely determined young police officer Phiwe (played by Nelisiwe Sibiya). Her world is turned upside down after a fateful encounter during a heist leaves her with a secret she must protect at all costs. Phiwe struggles to keep the truth of the heist hidden from her family and colleagues.
Township matriarch Mazwi Mhlongo (Winnie Ntshaba) sees an opportunity to use Phiwe’s secret to her advantage. However, deep down in Shonalanga, we also find a love story, a complicated one at that, where Phiwe, because of her decision at the heist, can’t be with the man that she truly loves, Muzi Mhlongo (Zamani Mbatha).
Zamani has just teased potential viewers with a clip of him and Nelisiwe in action. Their onscreen chemistry is undeniable, and it goes without saying that they are going to deliver the best.
