Sdumo Mtshali Unveiled As the Cover Star Of A Leading Magazine. He has been consistent throughout the years, but 2026, Sdumo Mtshali reached a whole new level. This year alone, the award-winning actor has bagged lead roles, been on billboards, got ambassadorship gigs and multiple interviews among other things.
His latest opportunity is being the second covers for GQ Magazine’s August 2026 issue. In the issue, Sdumo reflects on freedom, the award-winning actor reflects on purpose, faith and the power of playing the long game. A year ago, Sdumo was the cover star for another major Magazine, BONA.

A Career Spanning for Over 15 Years
The journey all started when he entered the first season of Class Act in 2010. Sdumo was such a great contender, and went on to win the reality talent show. He was immediately absorbed in the industry. Sdumo went on to star on shows like s Intersexions, Rhythm City, Tempy Pushas, isiBaya, iNumber Number, Saints and Sinners and most recently, My Brother’s Keeper. He has also done a number of films among them, Inside Story, Back Of the Moon, and the star studded Netflix crime series, Marked.
Shinning in New Roles
Now Sdumo is making waves as Jonasi Gomora in the hit Netflix series, The Polygamist. The role has earned him instant global recognition. He also recently bagged another role in a new series, The Four of us, as Bobbi Dhlomo.
