Sdumo Mtshali and Thembinkosi Mthembu Share Exciting Content As Their New Series The Four of Us Takes the Country By Storm. Filling in the big shoes of Scandal! can’t be easy for anyone. Having noted that though, the new show, The Four of Us is holding its own. With just one episode in, the series has positioned itself to be one of the best shows currently airing on TV.
The Four of Us is a family drama that centres round the Dhlomo family, with two other surnames included the mix. It explores the power struggles, long-held resentments and old wounds that threaten to tear their relationships apart. The first episode saw the Dhlomo family gather for Dumisani’s funeral. Tensions erupted between Papi and Busani, leading to Papi’s dramatic arrest and Bobbi being named heir to the family business.
One of the most interesting character is Busani Dhlomo, played by the legendary Sindi Dlathu. As the eldest Dhlomo sibling, she dedicated her life to helping her father build Dhlomo Motors, sacrificing her personal dreams in service of the family legacy. But after years of loyalty, discipline, and hard work, she faces a devastating reality. Her younger brother is chosen to lead the company instead of her. This is simply because of tradition.
There is also Sdumo Mtshali, who plays Bobbi Dhlomo, a charismatic and ambitious man determined to claim his place as head of the family after years of feeling overshadowed. Another Dhlomo sibling is Banzi Dhlomo, the overlooked middle sibling whose need for validation and belonging drives much of the family’s emotional conflict. He is played by the multi award-winning actor Thembinkosi Mthembu. The talented actors have just posted on their Instagram about The Four of Us.
