Job Description:
- This role presents a great chance for individuals interested in training and becoming qualified as a Motor Mechanic.
- The successful candidates will engage in all aspects of the Apprenticeship programme.
- They will assist in vehicle repairs under the supervision of a qualified Technician, fulfill the MerSETA trade requirements, master level tests, and aim to qualify within a maximum of 2 years.
Position Overview:
The role involves active participation in the Apprenticeship programme, contributing to vehicle repairs under supervision, meeting MerSETA trade standards, excelling in level tests, and striving to become a qualified Motor Mechanic within a designated time frame.
Specific Role Responsibilities:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend scheduled technical/level training courses.
- Assist in vehicle repairs to gain practical experience under a Technician’s guidance.
- Thoroughly prepare for level tests to achieve qualification within the designated 2-year period.
- Contribute to maintaining cleanliness by organizing tools and equipment, as well as ensuring a tidy work area.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety rules and protocols.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 qualification with a minimum of 50% pass mark in Pure Maths and Physical Science.
- Possession of an unendorsed driver’s license.
- Clear criminal record.
- Competence as an apprentice level 2 Motor Mechanic, showcasing mechanical insight and technical skills exposure.

- Proficiency in operating manufacturer diagnostic equipment/computer systems to access information.
- Physical fitness for handling heavy-duty tasks associated with the role.
