Zikhona Sodlaka Celebrates Her Major Award Win. She is one of the most amazing actresses we have in the country. Zikhona Sodlaka kills every role she gets, and wins viewers’ hearts while at it. She recently bagged a major award for her talent, something that many predicted before the event.
The award winning actress was nominated three times at this year’s National Film & TV Awards South Africa. Zikhona was nominated under the Best Actress in a TV Series 2023, Outstanding Performance 2023 and Celebrity Personality of the Year 2023 categories. She went on to bag the award for the Best Actress In A TV Series. This is for her role as Mandisa in The Wife telenovela series.
Zikhona was up against Kgomotso Christopher (Legacy, Fatal Seduction), Tsholofelo Matshaba (The River), Michelle Botes (Legacy), Elizabeth Serunye (Skeem Saam ), Khabonina Qubeka (Shaka Ilembe), Cindy Swanepoel (Binnelanders), Connie Ferguson (Kings of Jo’Burg), Rosemary Zimu (Savage Beauty)
Gail Mabalane (Unseen) and ThandoThabethe (HousekeepersS3).
Reacting to her win, Zikhona thanked the awards organizers for the recognition. She also congratulated all the nominees and all the hardworking artists out there.
