Rasta Paints A DJ Tira Portrait To Celebrate His 2 Decades In The Music Industry. If there is anyone who constantly honors our legends, it has to be Rasta The Artist. No matter how many people tell him to stop, Rasta is always determined to pay tribute to some of the world’s most influential figures, with by painting portraits of them.

The latest celebrity that Rasta made a painting of is DJ Tira. Taking it to the beach, used the breeze as inspiration while he worked on his masterpiece. Although may tweeps are not impressed by the painting, Tira retweeted Rasta’s work, which could be a sign that he approves.

DJ Tira is one of our local musicians who has been consistent for years. His rise to stardom in 2000 after he won the prestigious Smirnoff SA DJ Knockout competition. Tira is part of the collective that discovered the Gqom music genre, which became popular around 2017. His hit song, “Umsindo” was released in 2016, which earned them best duo/group at the 2016 Metro FM awards.

On August 24, 2020, he released his fourth album 21 Years Of DJ Tira and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA) album include chart-topping singles “Nguwe” and “Uyandazi”, which peaked #5 on iTunes Chart and #31 on Apple Music Chart.
